Katherine Sivell Brand

Katherine Diane Sivell Brand, age 78, of LaGrange, passed away on February 26, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1948, to the late Douglas Bo Sivell and Mary Lou Davis in Pine Mountain, Georgia. She worked in maintenance at Ethel W. Kite Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Russell Sivell, Yvonne Sivell, Voncille White, and Kenneth Sivell. She loved Conway Twitty, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Hulet "Bubba" Brand, Jr. (Jamie) and Penny Owen (Billy); brothers, Julian Sivell and Bud Sivell; sisters, Bobbie Mull, Mary Sivell, and Evelyn King; grandchildren, Cortney Kitchens (Kenneth), Jake Owen (Cassie), Tanner Owen, Levi Brand, Wyatt Brand, Cheyenne Brand; great-grandchildren, Kane Kitchens, Easton Kitchens, Wesli Owen, James Grant Owen; many extended family and friends; as well as her canine companion, Zoey and Bad Boy.

The family will have a visitation on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church on February 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Yarbrough and Pastor Jimmy McMillian officiating. Interment will be held at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
