Katherine Ann Dunn, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away October 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on September 21, 1957, in Sarasota, Florida to Kenneth and Jean (nee Sparks) Dunn, Katherine spent her life in the pursuit of joy and creativity, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.
Katherine graduated from McAuley High School in 1975 and earned her Associate's Degree from the University of Cincinnati's College. She began her career at the Hamilton County Court House at the young age of 18, and later became Case Manager at the Juvenile Court, dedicating many years to serving her community with care and compassion.
Katherine was a vibrant soul, deeply passionate about the outdoors, particularly the Smoky Mountains and the wonders of national parks. She was an enthusiastic scuba diver, having explored the beautiful reefs of the Virgin Islands, cherishing every moment spent in nature. Her love for horses shone through her interest in dressage, and she delighted in sharing her love for square dancing and clogging with family and friends.
An avid gardener, Katherine was known for her generous spirit and often offered free gardening advice, igniting a passion for horticulture in those around her. Her creative talents extended to sewing, quilting, and crocheting.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Jean Dunn; Brother: Mark Dunn; and by her beloved boyfriend: Johnny Spurlock
Those left to treasure her memory are her siblings: Susan (Michael) Limke, Mary (Dave) Frey, and Jennifer Rosato; nieces & nephews: Elizabeth (Dave) Humensky, Brian Limke, Alex (Allyson) Frey, and Cynthia (Michael) Riley; great nephews: Cameron and baby Waylon; and her beloved friend: Catherine Kohler and many others.
Gathering of Friends will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Road, Harrison, OH, on October 28, 2025 at 10:00 am with mass to follow at 11:00.
