Katherine Lynn Hamby, a vibrant spirit born in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana on February 1, 1964, departed this world on February 1, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. A devoted homemaker, Katherine spent her life nurturing those around her with a kindness that resonated in every interaction. Her laughter could light up even the dullest of days, and her outspoken nature brought joy and authenticity to her relationships.

Those who knew Katherine remember her as a bubbly presence, incredibly friendly and always ready to share a joke or a slice of her homemade pie. She had an innate ability to make anyone feel welcome, woven together by her love for family and children. Katherine was not just a mother, but an unwavering source of support and love. She is cherished by her children, Robbie Hamby and Ashley Love, and her beloved granddaughter, who will carry forward the beautiful legacy of kindness and humor that she imparted.  A longtime family friend, Keith Wilson who will forever cherish their memories.

Her siblings, Sandra Schvab and William Hamby, will hold steadfast the memories of their lively sister—a woman who portrayed both love and no-nonsense decisiveness in equal measures.
