Katherine Marcella Hedges Hobbins of Onondaga,
Passed away May 1, 2025, at the age of 92. Katherine was born in Jackson, Michigan on June 1, 1932, the daughter of Milledge Bertrum and Kitty (Albright) Hedges. She met Charles Walter Hobbins in June 1947, they were married July 25, 1948, in Jackson, Michigan. They moved into their house on Hopcraft Road in 1948 and lived there together until Walt's passing on October 28, 2004, and Katherine resided there until she passed. They had 8 wonderful children together.
Katherine is survived by her two daughters, Krenda (Larry) Selask of Horton and Debra (Ed Kimber) McNutt of Streator, IL; six sons, Charles W. Hobbins Jr., Dennis (Tina) Hobbins, Miles Hobbins, Jimmy Hobbins, David Hobbins and Thomas Hobbins all of Onondaga; grandchildren, Tami Teer, Catheryn Graves, Karen (Roy) Black, Jodi (Todd) Dowedite, Tiffany (Kurt) Rittenberg, Shannon (David Santos) Hobbins, Mike (Aimee) McNutt, Ken (Kelly) McNutt, Patrick McNutt, Sherry (Michael McGhee) Porter, Liza (Chris Tripp) Hobbins, Tina (Anthony) Locash; 28 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milledge and Kitty; sister, Jane; brother, George; husband Walt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Tompkins Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Onondaga Community Church in loving memory of Katherine Marcella Hobbins.
