Katherine J. Jordan (Lewis), 74, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice House on Wednesday, December 17, with her loving family by her side.
Katherine was born on May 21, 1951, in
Chelsea, Massachusetts, to William and Nancy (McCarthy) Lewis.
She dedicated over 45 years of her life to the mental health field, 35 of which were spent with The Mentor Network. Katherine was deeply passionate about her work and the people she served, offering unwavering care and compassion throughout her career.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Katherine was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She expressed that love through caring for those around her, especially by opening her home and kitchen to family and friends. No one ever left her house without a full belly, and meals were always made with love. She also found joy in crocheting, crafting, and gardening, passions that reflected her nurturing and creative spirit. One of her favorite ways to unwind was watching her British soap operas, often laughing and repeating the phrases the characters would say.
Katherine is survived by her three sons, Christopher Jordan, Westley and his wife Nicole Jordan, and Andrew Oliver; her three daughters, Alison Jordan-Oliver, Adrienne Jordan, and Kaylah Pike; her brothers, William Lewis Jr. and Robert Lewis; and her sister, Joanne Lewis. Katherine was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She also leaves behind her longtime friend, Kristine Birchmore.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul T. Jordan, with whom she shared a loving marriage of 52 years, and by her sister, Debra Lewis.
Katherine will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family and all whose lives she touched.
Private services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine's name to the
American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
