My sympathy to Bill, Katie´s daughters, and their families. Katie was an inspiration to the Net cancer community. Despite her condition, Katie was always willing to help anyone who looked for guidance with this cancer. Members mentioned how kind and companionate Katie was.
I´ve never known anyone who had the number and variety of treatments she endured; yet, she kept active. Katie was a support group member, a Facebook administrator for our group, and our Egg Harbor lunch group. I will miss our conversations about our grandkids.
I am sorry I´m not able to attend her wake or funeral. Ironically, I´m in Kansas City, Katie´s home town. As we visit those places dear to Katie, I´m saying a prayer for her. I will miss my friend.

Katie will be remembered by her fellow Neuroendocrine Cancer Support Group friends for her brave and determined struggle. Her strength was evident in her determination to tackle adversity with the power of researching all avenues and following the latest research developments to assure no stone was left unturned.
She touched so many lives on her journey and we thank her for generously sharing her discoveries to benefit others facing similar challenges.
We will miss her smile, laughs, family stories and friendship!
May her family and friends know Katie's light is shining brightly in all of our hearts! We were blessed to partner with her on this journey.
Zebra Hugs Dear Friend! We will miss you.
