Katherine Rose Maynor, 48, left her earthly home to find a place of peace in her Heavenly home. Arrangements will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Rose was born June 29, 1976. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julius and Vinnie Maynor, and Jessie Mack Hawn and Margaret Franks Hubbard.
Rose is survived by her parents, David and Peggy Franks Maynor; son, Collin Maynor (Makayla); brother, Jesse Hawn (Alison); niece, Chelsae Robnett; nephews, Chandler Hawn and Raney Hawn; two great-nephews and one great-niece; special friends, Jana Shook, Bethany Owens, and Pat Johnson, known, along with Rose, as "The Golden Girls".
Rose was a member of the Riverton Rose Trail Community Church. She was a graduate of Cherokee High School and studied at Shoals Community College. Rose loved Collin and all his friends and tried to be a positive role model. She made every step on Collin's years of Boy Scout adventures, serving as Den Mother. Rose always had a helping hand or a kind word for someone in need.
Rose lived life to the fullest. She loved bling-bling, music, cars, short trips, and shopping with friends.
Rose will be missed by all that truly knew her.
