With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Katherine (Kathy) Whitlock Mohler. Kathy was born in Austin, TX at Brackenridge Hospital on October 28, 1963 to her parents, Geraldine and Donald Whitlock. She sadly passed away at Seton Ascension Hospital in Bastrop, TX on March 19, 2026. She was 62 years of age at the time of her death.
Kathy lived in Austin, TX for her childhood and attended school until 7th grade. She met her dearly beloved husband Carl Mohler and the married June 18, 1983 and were married for a wonderful time of 43 years. They had three beloved children named, Candy, Carl, Jr, and Christine. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker. She had an enthusiasm for jigsaw puzzles and word searches. She also enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending quality time with her family and drinking coffee.
Kathy is survived by her loving family which includes her husband, Carl Mohler of Smithville, TX and her kids, Candy Mohler of Austin, TX and Carl Mohler, Jr., and his wife, Sandra Mohler and their three children, Ace,Johnny, and Vickie of Smithville,TX; her brothers, Robert Whitlock of Elgin, TX and Jesse Whitlock and his wife, Becky Whitlock of Elgin, TX. She is also remembered by her sister in-law, Kitty McCoy and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Donald Whitlock and mother, Geraldine Whitlock and parents-in-law, Carl and Ilene Mohler of Smithville, TX. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Mohler and brothers, Lee Whitlock and Danny Whitlock; her sister in-law, Paulette Schubert and brothers in-law, James Schubert and Ivan McCoy. Although, she is no longer among us, she will befondly remember by those of us she loved and hearts she touched.
