Katherine Lynn "Kathy" Pangle age 68 of Higdon, AL died Saturday, May 3, 2025 at her residence. Funeral services are Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 4 PM ET at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Robert Shrader officiating. Burial will follow in the Trenton Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 PM ET on Monday and 12 Noon ET until service time on Tuesday.
Kathy was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA to parents, Henry Lee Newt, Jr. and Leatha Hogwood Newt. She graduated from Dade County High School and later attended Tennessee Temple. She enjoyed writing short stories and poems, listening to music, and fishing. She had a passion for Jesus that was unlike any other. Kathy cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them along with her church families at Calvary Baptist Church and most recently at Clearview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Curtis Newt, Kevin Newt, Doug Hogwood; niece, Kelsy Wormsley; sister-in-law, Elaine Newt; and ex-husband, Ronnie Pangle.
Survivors include, Daughter: Vickie Pangle, Son: Jason James(Amber), Siblings: Kyla Wormsley Scott(Terry), Kenny Newt(Patricia), Grandchildren: Veronica James, Wyatt James, Ethan Lemieux(Truly), Elizabeth Lemieux, Emily Stephens, Kayden Warrick, Great-grandson: Trenton Lemieux, Special niece: Kayla Henshaw, Special Friends: Amber Burnette, Marty Workman, Andy Logan, Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Southern Care New Beacon Staff, along with Nikki and Katelyn.
