Katherine Nadine Phillips
Nadine Phillips, daughter of the late William “Bill” Bacchus and Erna Boley Bacchus was born on April 11, 1929 in Lamar, Arkansas and departed her life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the age of 96 years.
On June 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Sherman “Vick” Phillips. Mr. Phillips preceded her in death on May 27, 1987.
She was a former caretaker and co-owner of the Oran Flower Shop. Nadine loved children and babysat several kids in the Oran area.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Larry Vick Phillips, James Rick Phillips, and Rodney Lee Phillips; by one daughter, Pamela Melissa Pobst; two brothers, Sonny and Charles Bacchus; by three sisters, Faye, Jean, and Ellawie.
Survivors include twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren: also, by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Morley, Missouri.
