Katherine Simpson, 79, of Gainesville, MO passed away November 13, 2025 in Springfield, MO. She was born November 13, 1946 in Alton, MO to Warren T. and Ruby Jewell (Thompson) Simpson.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. She graduated from Alton High School in 1964, where she played in the band and was able to experience playing in the Cotton Carnival Parade in Memphis, TN. She was baptized at the age of 13 in Greer Springs through a revival at Bailey Church. She devoted her life to helping her community, working with the Department of Family Services for 25 years, serving the counties of Ozark, Greene, Oregon, and Howell. She retired in February 2001. Kathy came to Gainesville in 1979. She lived most of her life in Ozark County.

She is survived by one daughter, Paige Rodriguez of Ennis, TX; one son Shay Kilpatric of Nixa, MO; five grandchildren: Sierra Maldonado, Eli Rodriguez, Zyler Munoz, Mason Harden, and Shepherd Kirkland; one sister, Carolyn Johnson of Gainesville, MO; one niece, Penny Britt; one nephew, Billy Cochran; one aunt, Reva Cates; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren T. and Jewell Simpson.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Officiating will be Bro. Jeff Dotson. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10 a.m. to service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
