Katherine “Kassy” (Senge) Trozzo
Katherine (Kassy) Trozzo, age 85, formerly of Sharpsburg, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Kassy was born September 4, 1939 to the late Edward J. and Catherine Senge of Shaler Township. Kassy was a devoted, loving mother to her four children and a homemaker for many years. When her two youngest children were in high school, she attended business school and earned her degree. She worked for RRZ&G Holdings in downtown Pittsburgh as an Accounting Assistant. After her retirement Kassy had a desire to give back for all of her blessings and help those in need. Kassy was a member of the Christian Mothers and St. Vincent De Paul Societies. She spent countless hours each week at the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry within St. Mary Church in Sharpsburg. Kassy was a kind, caring, humble woman with a devout Catholic faith and welcoming smile. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Lawrence S. Trozzo and son Lawrence A. Trozzo. Survived by her children Theresa Bashada (Dave), Jennifer Dahler (John), Dale Trozzo (Therese) and daughter-in-law Mary Ann Trozzo. Grandmother of Anthony, Amy, Haley, Natalie, and Chloe. Great-Grandmother of Carina, Cianna, Anthony, Trista, Harper, Emma, Palmer and Blaire. Sister of Betty Switalski, Ann Marie Downey and Edward Senge (Diana). The family would like to thank Concordia of Fox Chapel who became a second family over the past few years. Friends received Monday from 2-4- & 6-8 pm at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Parish in St. Mary Church on Tuesday at 10:30 am.
