Katherine "Kay" (Renforth) Vella 83, of Mingo Jct, OH passed away peacefully March 27, 2026 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was born December 18, 1942 to the late Elizabeth (Rose) Renforth. She was preceded in death by her husband Lois F. Vella Sr. "Luigi". Kay's greatest accomplishment was raising her family. Kay was a stay-at-home mother, who loved cooking. She was intensely competitive. She loved playing cards and dice. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds on her back porch. She was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Agnes Church of Mingo Jct. Kay is survived by her three sons; Louis F. Vella Jr., (Sherri) of Mingo Jct., John Valla (Vicki) of Mingo Jct., and Jerry Vella (Donna) of Weirton W. Va. eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There will be no memorial service or visitation. Kay leaves behind memories that will be cherished by all that knew her. We would like to thank the Carriage inn of Steubenville for their kindness and care provided during her stay. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
