Katherine Marie Wimbley was born on September 15, 1959, in Miami, FL to parents Essie Lee Wimbley and Annette Young. She grew up in Goulds and later moved to Richmond Heights, FL where she was raised. Katherine was one of 7 children.

Katherine was educated withing the Miami Dade County Public School system and attended Richmond Middle and Killian High School. She later went on to attend Lindsey Hopkins Nursing School where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Katherine's nursing career began at Brookwood Gardens Nursing Home. She later found employment with CHI. Katherine then began working at a private OBGYN office for Dr. Apollon, Dr. Karsenti, and Dr. Palaez. Nursing was her love and enjoyed her work as an LPN.

Katherine married Curtis Render and devoted her life to raising her son and creating stability for her family. At the age of 32, they had their first and only child, Kasey, who was the joy of her life as a parent.

In addition to nursing, Katherine loved to read, write, and draw. She was an artist. Katherine was extremely disciplined and wanted the best for everyone. She had tough love by everything had a bigger purpose. Katherine was very polite; always smiling, highly intelligent and looked out for others. Katherine would always speak her mind and was never afraid to tell you about yourself. Katherine had high expectations and a prestigious mindset. She was the perfect example of EXCELLENCE. Her life and existence were a masterclass.

On November 17, 2025, Katherine received eternal rest from her labor. She leaves to mourn her passing; her only son, Kasey Render; husband, Curtis Render; stepchildren: Lashawnda Render, Chantel Render, Curtis Peterson; step grandchildren: Courtney Tye, Makayla Stevenson, Edward Stevenson Jr, Sakani Stevenson; siblings: Clara Massey, Steve Wimbley, Bruce Wimbley, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Preceding Katherine in death are her parents, her siblings: Essie Lee Wimbley Jr., Carolyn Aitcheson, and Terence Wimbley.
