Katherine Irene “Kathy” Witt, 69, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away surrounded by love on November 5, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on July 18, 1956, in Alma, Michigan, to the late Charles and Pauline Witt. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion Springs and had a great love for her church, St. John’s Lutheran of Hemlock.
Kathy was a 1974 graduate of Merrill High School. She spent over 20 years working for General Motors, where she built lasting friendships and took great pride in her work. In her younger years, she had a passion for sports cars — and an even greater love for driving them fast. Her adventurous spirit, big heart, and gift to gab made her unforgettable; she could make friends wherever she went.
She was the proud mother of Stacy (Brian) Percy and Emily (Justin) Larocque, and the cherished grandmother of Kyler “Bug” and Kennedi, who brought her endless joy. Her beloved “grandpups,” Bleu and Beaux, were spoiled by her and always knew where to find a treat or extra love.
A loyal Detroit Tigers fan, Kathy was known to cheer on her team with all the passion she had. She also loved spending time at craft shows, where she shared her creativity and made lifelong friends. No day was complete without a Diet Coke in her hand.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and siblings, Annette Corey and Mark Witt. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Pauline Witt, and her Brother-in-Law, Gerald Corey.
Kathy’s humor, kindness, and strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her life reminds us to live fully, laugh often, and never pass up a good drive with the windows down.
