Katherine Zecchini

Katherine (Buffum) Zecchini, age 51 of East Kingston NH, passed away on April 8th 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family.
Kathy was born on February 13, 1972 to Neil and Louise (Kress) Buffum. She spent her childhood in Salem, NH, and graduated from Salem High School in 1990. She went on to study nursing at New Hampshire Technical Institute. She worked as an RN at Edgewood Centre Nursing Home, Rockingham County Nursing Home, and Exeter Hospital. Most recently, she worked at HomeHealth VNA in North Hampton, NH, where she served as a valuable teacher and mentor to many fellow nurses and cared for countless patients over the course of her 16 years with the company. She was devoted to her profession and respected by everyone she crossed paths with.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three children, Elicia Zecchini and her fiancee Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Plaistow, NH, Victoria Zecchini of East Kingston, NH, and William and his partner Kelsea Vavra of Kittery, ME as well as their father Richard Zecchini of Exeter, NH. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Judy (Buffum) Shanteler, her husband Chris, and their children Tessa and Max, of Salem, NH, as well as her long-term partner Jonathan "Jay" Emerson and his two daughters, Alexi and Zoey whom she loved dearly.
Kathy loved family holidays, spending time with her children, and hanging out with her many cherished friends. Kathy had a beautiful smile for everyone she met. She loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
