Kathleen Barnhouse was someone who found peace in the quiet and meaning in the small, everyday moments. She enjoyed puzzles, Bingo, fishing and being outdoors, finding joy in the simple pleasures that brought her calm and connection. She didn't need the spotlight - she simply showed up with love, patience and unwavering support for the people that she cared about.
She was a proud and devoted mother to Candace (Dale) and Joel (Jennifer) and nothing lit her up more than spending time with her grandchildren: Dallas, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Jessica, Gracie, and Michael, and great-grandchildren: Bryce, Zara, Bentley, Hazel, Kobi, and Alana. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald, grandson, Jacob, and her parents, Betty and Virlo.
Her love for her family ran deep and she showed it in all the little ways that mattered most. Her fur babies, Kalley and Brooklyn, were her constant companions, always close by and deeply loved.
Kathye shared a life with her husband, Ron, although he passed in 2020, his memory stayed close to her heart. The thought of them being together again brings comfort in this time of loss.
She may have been quiet, but Kathye's presence was steady, strong and full of love. She made people feel cared for just by being herself. Her memory lives on in the lives she touched - and she'll be missed dearly but never forgotten.
There will be a Celebration of Life held to honor Kathye's life, date and time to be determined. Please check back for updated service information.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kathye's honor to the Pacific Eagle's Aerie #3842, where Kathye enjoyed many nights playing Bingo. Contributions may be sent to: 707 W Congress St., Pacific, Missouri, United States, 63069.
