Kathleen Ann Bauer, more lovingly known as "Kathy", age 75, passed away at home October 27, 2024. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Kathleen was born to Michael and Mary Ann Marinin, December 31, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. She is survived by her son Eric Bauer and daughter Tracey Bauer. She is the daughter of late Michael and Mary Ann Marinin and sister of late Michael Marinin. She was a devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Aunt, Cousin, Grammy and Friend.
Kathleen was proud graduate of Revere High School in Richfield, Ohio. She attended Ohio State University for a short time after high school, thinking she would become a teacher. Her professional calling led her towards a different path. She proudly became the first person in her family to graduate from college with a RN degree from Akron City Hospital Isabelle Firestone School of Nursing. From that point, she dedicated her life to serving others as a hospice nurse.
The cold and snowy Ohio winters made driving to work and school a challenge. The sunshine of Arizona beckoned Kathleen to make a big life change. She moved to Arizona where she continued teaching caregivers and helping families and patients as a hospice nurse. Kathleen's personal and professional journey was shaped by her calling to care and be of service to others. She earned her BSN from the University of Phoenix, and continued her journey as a hospice nurse.
She enjoyed the sunshine and weather a few years after retirement and eventually returned to Ohio to her roots. Kathleen loved watching Ohio State Buckeye games. She liked to reminisce about the Varsity Club and the year OSU won against Michigan and how the fans charged the field. She enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns games, the Voice and Family Feud. She loved watching movies and listening to music, especially Elvis and Ricky Nelson.
Kathleen was truly an ANGEL to many, especially her family, friends, patients and families of patients over her lifetime.
Peace, Light & Love to All.
Rest in Peace, Angel Kathleen.

I went to school with Kathy. She started attending our Revere high School reunions a few years ago and had the time of her life! I enjoyed seeing her and would call her once in a while to catch up. Please accept my condolences...I know her family meant the world to her.
