Katie was a wonderful friend and person. I remember getting repeatedly "hushed" in confirmation class because we were always giggling, often uncontrollably, and then getting yelled at for our "shrieking" in the hallways at Stilwell. We were always being too loud apparently which is perfect, I think, because I only remember fun times with Katie, lots and lots of laughing, and our shared devotion to Val Kilmer in Batman Forever and The Saint. lol. I have so many good memories with her and when I remember happy times during my childhood or hilarious and silly moments from junior high and high school, her grin and laugh is so often there.
Katie was a fierce friend, a rare talent, and a beautiful soul. She had a gift of making you feel so welcome and loved and cared for. A truly unique being.
Her loss will be so immense for so many. My deepest condolences to her family and her devoted friends Renee, LaQuita, and Michael. I´m so sorry you have to endure the pain of losing such a special person that was, and will always be, Katie.
