Kathleen Ann (Ebner) Coleman passed away peacefully at her home in Woodburn, Oregon on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Kathleen was born on October 23, 1942, in Salem, Oregon, to Charles and Ina Ebner. She grew up helping in her family's grocery store, the White Corner, in Mt. Angel, Oregon. As the eldest of ten children, she was surrounded early in life by her siblings: Patricia, Collette, Fredrick, Timothy, Dennis, Maureen, Laura, Kelly, and Christina-a role that shaped her lifelong devotion to family.

On November 3rd, 1962, Kathleen married John Coleman, and together they began their life in the same home where they lived to this day. Rooted in faith, hard work, and love, they built a life together as the farm grew and their family expanded to include four children: John (Elizabeth), Mike (Gail), Tom (Melissa), and Joan Peterson (Mike). Kathleen was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren-Jackson, Madeleine, Samuel, Ellen, Maxwell, Mitchell, Ann, Emma, Alexander, Hannah, Jake, Ella and Lucy-and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Evelyn, Kaiden, Nolan, Riley, Amelia, and Nora.

Kathleen's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved supporting them in all their activities and was always present-whether in the stands, at events, or simply cheering them on in everyday life. She was the heart of family gatherings, making sure everyone came together for holidays and special occasions, most often as the welcoming host who opened her home and her heart. Her contagious laugh filled those moments and was a sound her family and friends will forever cherish.

Kathleen was an active and devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was an enthusiastic supporter of local sports and deeply involved in the St. Paul community. Kathleen loved to travel, and it didn't matter where she was going-whether it was a girls' trip to the Oregon Coast, a visit to see her children and grandchildren, or one of her many other travel adventures. Wherever she went, family and connection were always at the center. Her life was guided by an unwavering faith in God, deep love for her family, and strong ties to her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ina Ebner, her sister Patricia, and her brother Fredrick.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 30, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at St. Paul City Hall.

Memorials in Kathleen's honor may be made to the St. Paul Parochial School Endowment Fund, Oregon Right to Life or the St. Paul School District Booster Club.
