Kathleen H. Crowder

Kathleen H. Crowder, born on October 12, 1935, in Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 90.
Kathleen dedicated thirty-three years of her professional life to Verizon in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, Norfolk, Virginia, where she was known for her unwavering commitment and exemplary service. After retiring, she made her home in Kill Devil Hills, NC, and later in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she enjoyed spending her free time surrounded by family and friends, cherishing every moment with them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roy Hunter and Decie Mae Andrews Hunter, as well as her cherished partner, Clarence Mixon, and her twin sister, Ethylene Grether. Kathleen's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship.
A private gathering for family and close friends will be held at a later date to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
