Kathleen Roberts Dickey

Kathleen 'KD' Roberts Dickey, age 81, passed away in Dallas on January 31, 2026.

Born on October 29, 1944, in Arkansas, Kathy settled in Dallas, TX where she met and married the love of her life, Bill Dickey.

She worked in commercial real estate for over 40 years, developing many prominent shopping centers and retail buildings in the DFW metroplex. In addition to volunteering regularly at her church, St. Luke's Episcopal of Dallas, Kathy was deeply dedicated to serving her community through her work with Hope Cottage, one of Dallas's first adoption non-profits. She and her husband, Bill, served together as board members for many years, furthering the organization's mission and impact on north Texas families.

Known for her warmth, wit, and vibrant personality, Kathy enjoyed many hobbies and had an active social life, but nothing brought her more joy than being a mother to her son, John, who continues her legacy of service as an active volunteer and board member at Hope Cottage.

Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Bill; her son John, daughter-in-law Jody; her grandsons Nolan (10) and Cameron (7); her brother Chris Roberts and his partner, Claudia; her nephew Steven, his wife Jin, and great-niece Sophie Park-Roberts; her niece Kim Howell and husband John; her niece Michelle Alexander; her niece Diane Dickey Walton, her husband Justin Walton, great nephews Parker, Knox, and great niece Peyton; her niece Lori Roberts; her niece Elizabeth Roberts; her nephew Landon Falcon; and many other loved ones and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 5923 Royal Ln, Dallas, TX 75230, on Saturday, March 14th at 3:30p.
