Kathleen "Nancy" Fort

(nee Carey), age 91, of University Heights, OH, passed away on November 3, 2025. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Richard "Dick" Fort; dearest mother of Kathleen Fort Carty (Bill), Susan Fort (Jason Lee), Stephen Fort (Sylvia Meszarosova) and David Fort (deceased) (Laura) and the late Richy Fort; loving grandmother of Matthew Fort (Kristen), Shannon Fort, Ethan Chandler, Logan Chandler, Haley Carty, Megan Carty and Chloe Fort and great-grandmother of Shane, Wesley, and Charlotte Fort; dear sister of James Carey (deceased) (Renata) and Patrick Carey (Antonietta) and the late Betty Carey; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Nancy worked as a registered nurse for many years in various settings while raising five kids. She was an avid reader, competitive tennis player, and animal lover. Nancy was a proud lifetime parishioner of Gesu Parish and a regular passholder of Purvis Park Pool. She was a loyal patron of Pizzazz on the Circle and loved her pinot grigio. Nancy leaves behind her best friend, Ivy the kitty, who is now in search of a new forever home.
