Kathleen Gill Obituary

After an extended illness, Kathie Gill passed away peacefully with family on Monday, March 10, at the age of 84. She was a long-time resident of the Coeur d’Alene area having moved from South Dakota as a teenager and living the remainder of her life here. Her early years were spent in Hayden Lake where she attended school. She married Tom Gill in 1956 and moved to Dalton Gardens where they raised four children, Jeff, Cindy, Mike and Dave. Family was a very large part of her life, and she was always active in community events and activities. She and Tom had a farm off the rim-rock area of Hayden where they raised cattle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, going to the local casino’s attending and participating in local auctions, as well as many outdoor activities. She worked for several years for a local carpet shop and local retail store in the area.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Tom. Her oldest son Jeff pre-deceased her. She is also survived by her remaining children and their spouses Cindy (Mike), Mike, and Dave (Kelley). Her parents predeceased her. Her oldest brother Ronald predeceased her. She is survived by her youngest brother, Gerald. Additionally, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, Kendall, Derrick, Bryce, Curtis, Katie and Shawn, 6 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 4 nieces.
