Celebration of life services for Kathy Ginger, age 73, of Primghar who passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Orange City Area Health System. Her celebration of life will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the United Church of Primghar with Pastor Mike Cooper, officiating.
Private family graveside will be held at Roseland Cemetery in Sanborn.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Primghar.

KATHLEEN “KATHY” K. GINGER
Kathleen “Kathy” Kay Ginger, the daughter of Vernon “Scritch” and Joan Marie (Colling) Bogaard was born on November 7, 1951, in Sanborn, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from Sanborn Community High School. On June 12, 1970, Kathy was united in marriage to Orville William Ginger in Primghar, Iowa. The couple made their home in Primghar. During Kathy’s working career, she was a painter, worked at Shea’s True Value and helped Red’s Café as a caterer. Kathy passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Orange City Area Health, reaching the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 9 days.
Kathy was a member of the United Church of Primghar. She spent many years, helping during the races for the Primghar Jaycees and was also a member of the Primghar Community Playhouse.
Left to cherish Kathy’s memory are her husband, Orville of Primghar, two sons and their spouses, Tracy and Erica Ginger, of Lake George, Utah and Travis and Sara Ginger of Paullina: grandchildren, Whitney Howe1l, Kyler, Kailee, and Kallen Ginger, and Conley and Bryn Ginger. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara and Tom Kimmel of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota and Mary Ellen Dunn of Sheldon, also brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Bill Dunn.
