Monson-Kathleen "Kathy" (Costa) Serrato,75, born on October 30, 1949, in Palmer, Massachusetts, passed away on July 6, 2025. Kathy was a beloved member of her community and worked tirelessly throughout her life. She served as a branch manager at Shawmut Bank for over 20 years before dedicating another 20 years to customer service and inside sales at Safe-T-Cut in Monson.
Kathy was a proud graduate of Palmer High School, and her commitment to service extended beyond her career. For over 30 years, she was an active member of the Monson Rotary Club, where she received the prestigious Paul Harris Award. Kathy was also a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson.
Kathy had a deep love for traveling, particularly enjoying visits to local casinos and trips to Las Vegas. She cherished her family, with her grandson Brandan Serrato being the love of her life.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Lynette Serrato; her grandson, Brandan Serrato; sister-in-law, Terri Moss; and many nephews, nieces, and their families, including Laurel Peck, Debra Rooney and her husband James, Glen Peck and his wife Karen, Diane Monette and her husband Dennis and Anthony Peck.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph V. Serrato; their daughter, Lisa (Serrato) Andrejack; her parents, Frank Costa and Victoria (Sisto) Cebula; her sister, Joanne Hopkins; her brother in-law Tom Moss and her nephew, Donald Peck.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Bethany Cemetery in Monson, Massachusetts, on August 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Springfield.
