Wales-Sandra M. Oney, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025, at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Connecticut. Born on January 17, 1967, in Hartford, CT, she was a graduate of Enrico Fermi High School in Enfield, CT. Sandra dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in the healthcare field, primarily in private homes. Her compassionate nature was evident in every aspect of her work, reflecting the caring, generous spirit that defined her.
Sandra had a deep love for cooking, sewing, and crafting. She found joy in nurturing her plants and embraced the beauty of living by the lake, where she delighted in watching the changing seasons—from the awakening of spring to the stillness of winter as the lake would freeze over. She enjoyed spending weekends engaged in card games with her brother, Marc. Sandra had a particular affinity for dogs, with a special love for those in need of rescue, embodying her generous and giving heart.
She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Kristina M. Oney and her husband Daniel Maudsley of Holland; Grace V. (Oney) Killmer; and Eve M. Oney both of Wales. Sandra is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Starr and her husband Logan Bourque, Donavan, Gavin, Ethan, Isabella, and Slade, who will carry forward her legacy of love.
Sandra is remembered fondly by her parents, Gerard and Louisette M. (Letourneau) Fauteux, and her brother, Marc Fauteux all of Enfield. She touched the hearts of many, and her memory will forever remain alive in the stories and fond remembrances shared by her family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Sandra's life will be held on November 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM in Lombard Funeral Home, located at 3 Bridge Street in Monson, MA. Her warmth and kindness will be greatly missed but cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
