Lombard Funeral Home, Inc. - MonsonSouth Dennis — Frances (Forys) St. Onge, 78, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Manatee Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Frances was born on May 19, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Stanley Forys and Stella R. (Zombik) Forys. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School and spent most of her life in Monson, Massachusetts. Frances worked for many years as a school bus driver for the local school system, where she became a familiar and friendly presence to generations of families.
Frances was devoted to her husband and family. She loved telling stories about her family and the many memories they shared together. She enjoyed playing cards, attending bingo, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
After retiring, she enjoyed her homes on Cape Cod and in Florida, where she loved welcoming family and friends and hosting many memorable gatherings.
Frances leaves her loving husband of 53 years, David St. Onge; her children, Matthew St. Onge and his wife Deborah St. Onge, and Jennifer Prentiss and her husband Michael Prentiss. She was proud to see the beautiful families they created together, including Ashley Prentiss, Caitlyn St. Onge, Madison Prentiss, Abigail Prentiss, and Brooke St. Onge, all of whom brought her great pride and joy.
She especially enjoyed celebrating their accomplishments and cheering them on in all they pursued. She cherished the many phone calls they shared, hearing about their adventures, and the holidays and family gatherings spent together. She also enjoyed traveling to Australia to visit family, where she had the opportunity to see the Great Barrier Reef and even developed a taste for kangaroo during her visits.
Frances was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle St. Onge; her parents, Stanley Forys and Stella R. (Zombik) Forys; and her sister, Patricia (Forys) McNamara.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
