Mary Catherine (McGovern) St. Onge, 76, died Thursday, February 26, 2026 at at home in Manchester, NH. She was born on June 10, 1949 in Metheun, MA, the daughter of John and Anne.
She was the wife of Maurice. They were married on June 27, 1970 in Manchester, NH.
She attended middle school at St. Joseph’s and high school at Manchester High School West. She worked for several iterations of New England Telephone over a 30 year career. After retirement she pursued a new career and graduated with a degree in Massage Therapy from New Hampshire Community Technical College in May of 2000.
She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, square dancing, cake decorating, camping, hosting an annual Christmas party for 45 years, and loved traveling with her family.
Mary was predeceased by her father John, her mother Anne and her sister Cynthia.
She is survived by her husband Maurice, her sons Jeff (husband Joshua) and John (wife Megan), and grandchildren Carter and Kendal.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH, followed by a memorial service starting at 3:00pm. A burial will take place at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations go to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
