Kathleen Linschoten Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory - Phenix City on Mar. 4, 2026.
Kathleen "Kathy" Linschoten, aged 64, of Pittsview, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. Born on February 18, 1962, in Athens, Ohio, Kathy was the cherished daughter of Francis Lee Higgins Sr. and Gloria Millicent Lillie.

Kathy's early years in Athens were filled with the laughter and camaraderie of a close-knit family. Her formative years instilled in her a deep appreciation for the bonds of kinship and the simple pleasures of life. A bright and eager student, Kathy's academic journey was marked by a thirst for knowledge and a commitment to excellence.

Upon meeting Benjamin Linschoten, Kathy found her life partner, and they embarked on a journey of love and companionship.

In addition to her devoted husband, Benjamin, Kathy's legacy lives on through her loving sister, Faith Gordon and brother in law Vernon Gordon. The bond between the sisters was one of unwavering support and deep affection, a source of strength for Kathy throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers donations for Kathy's services can be sent to Colonial Funeral Home at PO Box 54 Phenix City, AL 36868 or call please call 334-298-8728, with any questions.

In every moment of kindness, in every gesture of love, and in every act of generosity, Kathy's spirit endures. We take comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of purpose and meaning, and that her legacy will continue to light the way for others.
