Kathleen Cecilia Malone, 72, of D’Iberville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Born on October 23, 1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Frank Paul Broussard and Mary Margaret Broussard. She attended Biloxi High School and later worked as a welder at Huntington Ingalls, where she was admired for her skill, determination, and strong work ethic.
Kathleen lived a bold and adventurous life, defined by her love of family, friends, and the joy of celebrating life’s moments. She had a contagious laugh and an energy that could light up the darkest room. She loved feeding the birds, soaking in the beauty of nature, playing with her dog Spanky, and surrounding herself with laughter and good company. Fierce, funny, and full of life—Kathleen’s presence was unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Frankie Broussard, Linda Davis, Richard Broussard, and Dolly Worsham; and her beloved dog, Spanky.
Kathleen is survived by her children: Belinda Knebel, Rebecca Meakins, and Eddie Malone; her siblings: A.J. Broussard and Iris Miller; her grandchildren, Erica Miller, Brian Knebel, Reba Chadwick, Erin Malone, Lyndsay Shidler, Dakoda Knebel, K.C. Meakins, Hayden Malone and Avery Malone; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have shown love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your visits, calls, prayers, and memories of Kathleen have brought comfort and light to our hearts.
