Kathleen Ann Marcellin

Kathleen Ann Marcellin, age 84, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on November 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Born on November 13, 1940, to Josephine (Miraglia) and Joseph LaRocca in San Francisco, California, our beloved Kathy lived a life rich with creativity, connection, and kindness. On May 23, 1964, she married, Joseph "Joe" Lucian Marcellin.
Kathy had a gift for turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. She could create a delicious meal from nothing, transform a pile of fabric and sparkle into dazzling costumes, and make every Christmas feel absolutely magical. Whether she was sharing laughter with friends or family, offering a listening ear, or simply making others feel seen and loved, Kathy's touch made life more beautiful for everyone around her.
Her professional passion was serving others. As a Senior Citizen Coordinator for the Huron Valley School District in Michigan, she poured her heart into building community, initiating fun and spreading joy. But her greatest creative outlet was volunteering with Christ Presbyterian Academy theater productions, where she found pure delight in connecting with students and adding her signature touch of magic and sparkle to every performance.
Her circle of dear friends stretched from Michigan to Tennessee to Texas, each one drawn in by her caring nature and ability to make every conversation feel like home.
Kathy's Catholic faith grounded her throughout her life, and she lived it through daily acts of kindness, generosity, and love. Above all, she adored her family - her children, Michelle Sanders (Brian) and Chris Marcellin (Michelle); her grandchildren, Kayla Johnston (Seth), Alyssa Mykeloff, Ellee Marcellin, and Jase Marcellin; her great-grandson, Denim Johnston; and her step-grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Jazz, and Kyle Sanders. She is also survived by her brother, Richard LaRocca (Barbara) and many treasured nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Marcellin, and her parents, Josephine (Miraglia) and Joseph LaRocca.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 20th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Highland, Michigan. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, November 19th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a Rosary service at 7:00pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home in Milford, Michigan. In her honor, guests are encouraged to wear bright colors or a touch of sparkle.
