Kathleen Munir, born on January 11, 1951, in Patterson, New Jersey, passed away on January 28, 2025, at Autumn Lake Health Care Facility in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Her life, brimming with love, laughter, and creativity, touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathleen dedicated a significant of her career as an Administrative Assistant, contributing her talent to ABC in New York and various other reputable companies. Her intelligence and infectious laugh made her a cherished colleague and friend. Kathleen’s adventurous spirit was evident not only in her career but also in her personal pursuits. She had a fervent love for travel, with Paris holding a special place in her heart. Her adventurous nature also happened to include plans to visit Africa, which she was eagerly anticipating.

More than anything, Kathleen was a devoted mother and grandmother. She took immense pride in raising her daughter, Rajeeyah Taylor, and enjoyed caring and spoilling her beloved granddaughter, Akasha Taylor. Family gatherings brought Kathleen joy, whether they were filled with cooking, sharing stories, or laughing at the latest anecdotes. She will be remembered not just for her accomplishments, but for the warmth of her heart and her unwavering love for her family.

Kathleen's creative talents flourished in her hobbies; she was an excellent sewer and enjoyed writing, capturing moments of her life and her travels. A lover of the beach, she found solace in the sun and sand, often dreaming about her next escape to the shore. Kathleen was also an avid reader, continuously exploring new worlds through the pages of her favorite books.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her daughter Rajeeyah, her granddaughter Akasha, and her two brothers, Allen and James Edward Elliott. She was also cherished by her sisters, Christine Elliott, Betty Elliott, and Sandra McKay, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Steve McKay, her sister Laura Ann McKay, and her nephew Richard Elliott. The loss is profound, but her spirit and the memories forged will forever remain with those she touched. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring a remarkable woman whose impact on the world will never be forgotten.
