Kathleen "Kathy" Neinas

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Neinas, our wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Kathy's spirit departed from us on January 29th, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones at her home. She was born in Chicago on October 18th, 1952, to Joseph and Norma (Kealey) Burda. On July 3, 1987, she married Dale Neinas in Sturgeon Bay.
Kathy worked as a seamstress for much of her career until she retired. She spent a lot of free time doodling, painting, sewing and crafting, which was her passion. She was most excited when she was able to head to the Northwoods and listen to her loons on the lakes.
She enjoyed kayaking, sailing, golfing, throwing darts, and bowling, which is how she met her husband. She was one of the few who loved winter and the snow. Christmas music was often heard starting in October at the Neinas house as she loved Christmas and her lights. More recently, she looked forward to watching her youngest grandchildren grow and trying to foster in them a love of art and crafts.
Survivors include her husband Dale, 4 children, Caitlin, Carissa (Jeremy) Kimber, Darcie Olson, Adam (Caitlin) Olson; 5 grandchildren, Sierra, Kiegen, Kiana, Marley, and Ryker; 2 brothers, Michael Burda and Joseph (Jan) Burda; 2 sisters, Diana Burda and Patricia (Steve) Quinn, and sister-in-law Angie DeVito.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Burda.
To commemorate her life and lasting impact, we are holding a celebration of life on February 7th, 2025, at Forbes Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM with a memorial service to follow. We welcome all who knew her to join us in remembering this woman who was a loving wife, supportive mother, doting grandmother and trusted sibling.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jaslowski and Eric, PA with Green Bay Oncology and the amazing Cancer Center team, the caring and compassionate staff with Unity Hospice, and Pastor Sauer with St. Peters Lutheran Church.
