Kathleen (Cassie) Joyce Packard, 93 of Webster, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Spooner Hospital in Spooner, WI. Kathleen was born on October 27, 1931, to parents Edward Phernetton and Frances Dumjohn Phernetton in Webster, WI. Kathleen attended Webster school until she graduated in 1949.
On July 11, 1950, Kathleen married Bernard Packard. In this union, they welcomed 3 children: Roxanne, Kayleen, and Jerry. Kathleen and Barney were married for 43 years until his death on March 23, 1994. Kathleen spent many years working for Indianhead Action Agency and then retired from Parker-Hannifin in Grantsburg, WI. Kathleen very much enjoyed watching and attending her grandkids' sports events, whether it was hockey, baseball, football, basketball, or volleyball. She loved it all and was their biggest cheerleader.
Kathleen also enjoyed taking road trips in the fall to see all the beautiful leaves changing; a few of these trips were to Door County with Barney.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Frances, beloved husband Barney, Brother Jack Phernetton, sister-in-law Eddie Lou Phernetton, step-grandsons Rick and Mick Packard, great-granddaughters Leah Schaaf and Charisse St John.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Roxanne (Duncan) Hanacek, Kayleen (Mike) Caroon, and son Jerry Packard. Stepson Harold (Janice) Packard. Grandchildren Lindsey (LaVern), Chris (Jenny), Cassi, Cody (Annie), Jim (Kenzie), John (Johanna), Kevin (Brittany), Mark (Precious), and many more great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Brother Gus Phernetton, sister Sharon Haug, sister-in-law Bonnie Phernetton, and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was greatly loved and will be missed by many family and friends.
