Kathleen Shipley Price, 75, of Wimberley, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Wimberley. Born on February 14, 1950 in Cochabamba, Bolivia, she was the daughter of the late Walter Kenneth Shipley and Mary Fay Shipley.
Kathleen was a Nurse for over 20 years and loved being a nurse and helping people. She loved her family unconditionally, was a chocoholic (loved her chocolate!), had a deep affection for cats and always had a cat as a pet around her. Her favorite color was red and decorated with red everywhere, especially around Christmas with her Red Christmas tree and decorations. She loved collecting jewelry, especially of cats and of Crucifixes. She loved living in Texas and being around her family. In her younger days, she loved to cook and have get-togethers with family and friends. Even though she had her good moments and bad, she loved her family more than anything on this earth.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Brian Walter Shipley and wife Delores of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Catherine Rose Merrifield and husband Christopher of Ponca City, OK;
Grandsons, Kenneth Oakes, Brenden Shipley, Christopher Shipley, and Brett Thomas; Granddaughters, Lauren Lambert, and Erin Nichols; Great Granddaughters, Zoey Oakes, and Piper Holt; Great Grandsons, Jackson Holt, and Fletcher Holt; Brothers, Larry Shipley and wife Yvette and Kevin Shipley; Sisters, Lisa Shipley, Monica Wilhite, Linda Roberts, and Pat Sneed and husband Bob; Nieces, Michelle Williams, Alexandra Shipley, Annelise Shipley, Sierra Shipley, and Katie Giraldo; Nephews, Nelson Shipley, Mike Sneed, Christopher Wilhite, Mikah Wilhite, Kevin Wilhite, Steven Turvey.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Shipley and nephew Timothy Sneed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00-8:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
