FALMOUTH – Mrs. Kathleen Marie (Jennings) Rizzotti, 66 of Falmouth Heights, formerly of Salem and the loving wife of 44 years to Frank Rizzotti, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at Falmouth Hospital.
Born in Salem, Kathleen was the daughter of Rosemary (Ouellette) Jennings and the late Captain William J. Jennings of the Salem Police Department. She was raised and educated in Salem, attending St. James Grammar School as their last graduating class in 1972, and continued her education at Salem High School where she and Frank were proud members of the 1976 graduating class, already beginning their love story. Following her high school graduation, Kathleen continued her education at Marian Court in Swampscott.
Kathleen devoted her career professionally in office and administrative management roles working for various companies, but most notably with GTE Sylvania on Endicott Street in Danvers.
A beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother, Kathleen cherished her family above all else. She held strong bonds, with her family, and her Catholic faith, and was a parishioner of St. Anthony church in East Falmouth. Kathleen made lifelong friends wherever she lived including, Salem, Danvers, Bridgewater and Falmouth all of which brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. Kathleen loved all animals, especially her beloved Labrador Retrievers Cocoa, Heather and Shadow. Kathleen found solace and peace when by the ocean, particularly at Old Silver, and Falmouth Heights Beach in Falmouth, where she would spend countless hours, taking in the sun or reading a great book, rejuvenating her spirit. With her husband being an alumnus, Kathleen held a special place in her heart for Boston College, attending most home football games for more than 40 years. Kathleen lived her life with devotion and love and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her beloved husband Frank Rizzotti of Falmouth Heights and mother, Rosemary Jennings of Salem; Kathleen is survived by her son, Frank W. Rizzotti and his wife, Mallory Sohl of Windham, NH; her brothers, William Jennings and his wife, Cathy of Salem and Brian Jennings and his wife, Janice of Salem; aunt, Nancy Mulligan of Salem; her sister-in-law, Grace Ann Spychalski of Peabody; nieces, Victoria and Brittany; nephews, Jackson, Connor, Louis and Mark; and her labrador Shadow, and many extended family members including cousins and life-long friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kathleen's funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Tuesday, August 6th at 12 P.M. (NOON) with her burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem and a reception to follow all events. Visiting hours prior to her service from 9:30 A.M. – 12 P.M. (NOON).
