Kathleen G. Sedlack

Kathleen G. Sedlack (nee Gallagher) age 87, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. Darling and beloved wife of the late John W. Sedlack, Jr. Cherished mother of John W., III (Maura) Sedlack, Genevieve (John) Waller, and Christine (Inder) Rottger. Loving grandmother of John Emmett, Matthew, Vivian, Cynthia, Rik, and Evelyn. Daughter of the late Kathryn and Kevin E. Gallagher Sr. Sister of the late Sheila (Jim) O'Neil and the late Kevin E. Gallagher Jr. Sister-in-law of Louise Gallagher and Bob Sedlack. Kathy considered herself blessed to have many lifelong friends whose support and love she cherished. Fond aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Proud member of the Ya-Ya Sisters, artist and storyteller, nature-lover (particularly birds, flowers, and puffy white clouds). Kathy took great pride in being a teacher, most of all teaching her students to read. Lifelong member of St. Barnabas Parish and proud graduate of Academy of Our Lady High School. Visitation Friday, Sept. 19, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago. A private Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (now known as Blood Cancer United)
