Kathleen Stache

(Nee Mohalski)

Kathy went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at the age of 78.

She was born in 1947 and spent her early years living in the shadow of St. Josaphat's Basilica on Milwaukee's South Side. She attended Notre Dame High School, graduating in 1965. After graduating, she worked at Allis Chalmers and through a shared friend, met the love of her life, Jerome Stache. They married, had 4 children and 8 grandchildren, and enjoyed their annual Wisconsin Dells waterpark adventures.

After Allis Chalmers, Kathy spent 30 plus years working at JC Penney managing the Fine Jewelry Department, decorating the hands and necks of many on the south side. In her free time, she was an avid reader, chocoholic, movie goer and collector of antique glassware. She was a devoted member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Greendale.

She was a caring and ever-present force in the lives of her husband, 4 children and 8 grandchildren, and the numerous friends that were lucky enough to have known her.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerome "Jerry" Stache, children Kirk (Andrea), Kim (Shane) Foxcroft, Kyle (Polly) and Kent (special friend Natalie Thiel), grandchildren Hannah and Kaitlyn; Claire; Dawson, Nathan, Rowan and Alaina; and Gavin. Dear sister of Robert "Bob" (Karen) Mohalski and Mary Jo (Michael Mosley) Mohalski. Sister-in-law of Eugene (the late Anita) Stache, Larry Stache, Gladys Stache, Doreen Stache, Judy Stache, Delilah Stache and Sharon Stache. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents John "Jack" and Agnes (nee Stryjewski) Mohalski, and in-laws Earl (Lilly) Stache, Beverly (Otto) Maas, Virginia Stache, Elliot Stache, Pastor William Stache Jr., Doris (Randy) Stache and David Stache.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15 th, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5901 Westway, Greendale, WI 53129, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery, 4141 S. 43 rd St., Greenfield.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke's Hospital and Zilber Family Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kathy's memory to Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch or The Word Today are appreciated.
