Kathy was my piano teacher from age 6 until I went off to college. I always loved her and the music she developed in me. She was a wonderful teacher and person and quite a big part of my life growing up. My condolences to Kristy, Karin and Linea. -- Vicky (Gottlieb)

I was lucky to be one of her piano students as well as an actor in the Village Players. As a kid I was in the Miracle Worker and the King and I.

I played Helen in the Miracle Worker. Kathy composed special music for this play. The only time I really heard it was when Kathy and I did the dining room scene for a women's luncheon. The music totally put me into my part. I think that was the best I ever performed that scene. Kathy played Annie that day and she had her hands full.

As a Director she brought the best out in every actor and their tole. She brought the Miracle Worker to life in the first scene. Most productions I have seen have never set the play like Kathy had Kate, Helen's mom, set our play. Most versions just have Kate weekly yelling for Captain Keller when she figured out the baby was not responding to her. Not Kathy's Kate. The scream and tone in her voice sent chills down your spine. When I see other versions I just want to yell scream, something is very wrong with your baby.

My mom and dad were involved in the Village Plyers too. My mom and I still talk about those days and how they influenced us.

Thank you Kathy for being a special caring, sharing and giving person.
