Kathleen Vance

Mrs. Kathleen Vance, 92, died Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi. The funeral will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Irvin officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery.

Mrs. Vance was born on May 18, 1933, in Lafayette County, Mississippi, to the late Oma Mae Parker and Bishop Callahan. She married her beloved husband, A.J., in 1956, cherishing 58 years of marriage together. As a homemaker, Mrs. Vance took great pride in her role as a wife and mother. She maintained a warm and loving home where all felt welcome. Naturally creative, she loved taking on crafting projects and expressing herself through art. She loved tending to her garden each year, especially enjoying her flowerbeds. In her free time, she loved to fish, go to yard sales, or play a game of dominoes with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her husband, Alex "A.J." Vance.

Mrs. Vance is survived by her daughter, Belinda Moore and her husband, James "Jay" Moore, of Etta, Mississippi; a sister-in-law, Charlsie Vance of Myrtle, Mississippi; and a brother-in-law, L.Q. Vance, of Myrtle, Mississippi.
