Kathryn Marie Brogan March 22, 1939 – October 15, 2025
Kathryn Marie Brogan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Collingswood, New Jersey, to Charlotte and Gerald Gaffney, Kathryn lived a life defined by grace, devotion, and unwavering love.
A proud graduate of Collingswood High School (Class of 1957) and Pearce College (1960), Kathryn married Brendan Brogan in 1962, beginning a beautiful journey of over 57 years together. They raised three children-Meghan, Brendan (Ashley), and Kevin (Christie)-and built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and enduring support.
Kathryn was the cherished grandmother of Katelyn, Josh, Brendan, Michael, Will, and Louis, and the adoring great-grandmother of Henry. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was always there when they needed her-offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Known affectionately as "St. Kathy," she was a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew her.
After many happy years in Haddonfield, NJ, Kathryn and her family moved to Atlanta, GA, in 1979. She found peace and happiness in the ocean breeze, especially during treasured visits to Ocean City, NJ, and Edisto Beach, SC.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Brendan Brogan, and her parents, Charlotte and Gerald Gaffney. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces and nephews, and the many friends who were blessed to know her.
A service honoring Kathryn will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM, at Good Shepherd Church in Cumming, Georgia. A reception will follow at Atlanta National Golf Club. All are welcome to join in the celebration of her life.
She was the best mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for-and her memory will continue to inspire and guide those who loved her.
Kathryn was a devout Catholic who faithfully practiced her faith throughout her life. She generously volunteered her time at the local food pantry for many years, dedicating herself to serving those in need and embodying the spirit of compassion and charity.
