Winnabow - Kathryn L. Easter, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Brunswick County, North Carolina, at the age of 72. Born on January 22, 1953, in Guilford County, North Carolina, Kathryn lived a life filled with creativity, love, and dedication.

A graduate of North Carolina State University, Kathryn earned her Bachelor's Degree and went on to pursue a career as an Educational Writer. Her passion for education and writing touched many lives, inspiring countless individuals through her work.

Kathryn had a profound love for music and storytelling. She found great joy in playing the piano, filling her home with melodies that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her talent for writing stories was equally remarkable, and she leaves behind a legacy of words that continue to inspire and entertain.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Barnett, and her brother, Mark Easter. Kathryn is survived by her devoted sons, Matthew Stewart and Alex Stewart, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Madelyn Stewart, Eleanor Stewart, Chloe Stewart, Henry Stewart, and Lily Stewart, who brought immense happiness to her days. Kathryn is also survived by her brother, Michael Easter, who shared in her life's journey.

Kathryn L. Easter will be remembered for her warmth, her artistic spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
