Kathryn Hofmiller, age 85, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the devoted wife of 59 years of the late Raymond. E. Hofmiller. Kathryn was born in Bridgeport on September 23, 1938, daughter of the late Walter and Kathryn (Zepko) Harper, and lived in Bridgeport until moving to Shelton 58 years ago. She was a Registered Nurse and worked over 30 years at Bridgeport Hospital before her retirement. Kathryn enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and watching old movies, along with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved traveling with her husband and family. She is the beloved mother of Raymond J. Hofmiller and his wife Greta, and Jeanne (Hofmiller) Boudreau, and proud grandmother of Jack, Nick, and Mark Boudreau. Kathryn was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Harper and Charles Harper, two brothers-in-law Robert Hofmiller and Matthew Hofmiller and three sisters-in-law Elaine Hofmiller, Patricia Harper and Mary Harper. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. On Friday her procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton.
