Kathryn Haines Kaseman, known fondly as Kathy, left our world on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the age of 75 in West Branch, Michigan. Born on June 22, 1950, in Annapolis, Maryland, she lived a remarkable life filled with love, career achievements, and cherished experiences.
Kathy graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, VA in 1968, after which she pursued further education at Virginia Tech. Driven by a strong work ethic and a commitment to public service, she dedicated her career to the government as a computer specialist for the Department of Defense, serving from 1970 until her retirement in 2003. Her contributions to the field were impactful, and her expertise and dedication will be remembered by those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Kathy enjoyed many interests throughout her life. She loved visiting the Outer Banks and spending time on its beautiful beaches. She was an avid golfer and found joy and relaxation on the golf course. Kathy also had a passion for travel, especially road trips and treasured exploring the many landscapes and destinations across the United States. Kathy also enjoyed supporting the Michigan school system by playing Keno while sharing a beverage and laughter with friends.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Kaseman; daughters, Amy (Kevin) Kowalczyk and Becky (Chuck) Grindle; and grandchildren, Cole, Gail, Lily Rae, and Hanna. Kathy's brothers, Daniel (Katherine) Haines and John (Terri) Haines, along with her nieces and nephews, Nathalie, Nicholas (Autumn), and Alexandra (Andrew) are also left to honor her memory, as is her extended Haines family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her devoted parents, John and Barbara (Wilson) Haines.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
A cremation memorial will be held at a later date.
