Kathryn Juliet "Kathy" Morrison

Kathryn "Kathy" Juliet Morrison, age 84 passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Kathy was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, born in Polvadera, grew up in Los Lunas, and later resided in Albuquerque. A retired social worker and long-term volunteer at KNME, Kathy dedicated her life to helping others and shared her joy with people wherever she went. Kathy had a love for life, a strong spirit, and great sense of humor. She enjoyed baking with her granddaughters, spending time with her children, visiting with cousins, meeting new people, and taking trips to Las Vegas, Nevada with her friends and family.
Kathy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her children; Max L. Morrison II and Valentina Ne Morrison, son in-law; Mark Manning, granddaughters; Jade Valenzuela and her husband Noe Valenzuela, Chastity Sanchez, great-granddaughter; Kalia Valenzuela, sister; Sylvia McKinney and her husband Pete McKinney, nieces; Gayle and husband Rick Wheeler, Caryn and husband Kristijan Bauer, and many loving great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Kathy is preceded in death by parents, Clory B. Tafoya and Ne P. Tafoya, niece Lesley Welch, many aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends. Kathy's absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
