Kathryn Eleanor Mulhern, 48, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born January 3, 1975, in Drexel Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (nee Meehan) Mulhern.
Kate attended St. Katherine’s Day School for 16 years. Her joys in life were many. Going to church at St. Mary Magdalen’s with her parents was a highlight of the week. She enjoyed going to restaurants, doing arts and crafts, and playing and watching sports, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. She loved her vacations in Ocean City and Florida. Kate was a true friend to all the pets in our family who were especially gentle with her.
Kate excitedly anticipated celebrating special occasions with her extended family, especially weddings. She enjoyed being the youngest sibling, kept track of her family birthdays, and cherished her time with them throughout her life. After the birth of each of her nieces and nephews, she held them and welcomed them with her special smile.
Kate was the beloved sister of Mary Ellen Mulhern, Robert B. Mulhern, Jr. (Patricia), Elizabeth Boles (John Portland), Patricia Loughran (John), Francis Mulhern (Barbara), Ann Driscoll (Robert), Margaret Mulhern (Gregory Martinez), Paul Mulhern (Natasha), and Joan Naehr (Gregory). She was a much loved aunt to 21 nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews.
Kate brought joy to her family, teachers, and caregivers. She will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Friday, December 15, 2023, 9:30-10:20 AM, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N Providence Rd, Media, PA 19063, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Internment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
