Graveside services for Kathryn (Kittye) Pardue Brown of Mangham will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., at Gwin Cemetery in Mangham, with Brother Wayne Ray officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA.
Kittye was born on April 27, 1932, in Alto and passed away on March 26,2026, at Glenwood Hospital at the age of 93. She attended both Union and Mangham Methodist Churches during her lifetime. She graduated from Mangham High School in 1950 and continued her studies at Louisiana Tech and Northeast Louisiana State College (ULM), earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She loved her town, her family, and her home, where she spent countless hours cooking and serving wonderful meals and treats. Her home served as a meeting place for her children and grandchildren, as well as for extended family and friends, to gather and visit, play tennis, or just have a cup of coffee or a Coke.
Kittye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Richard (Dick) Brown; parents, Cecil and Claud Daniel Pardue; brother, Buddy Pardue and wife Gloria; and a great-granddaughter, Lily Ann Dupont.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Leah Williams and husband Joel, and Stacey Noble and husband Charlie; grandchildren: Claudia Williams Corbett and husband Trey, Ali Noble Huff and husband Gene (and family), Lauren Noble Dupont and husband Josh, Erin Noble Cantu and husband Logan, Joey Williams and wife Brandy (and family), and Jessica Williams Perry and husband Jamie (and family); great-grandchildren: Breanna and Gracie McKnight, Lucas, Peyton, and Nathan Dupont, Barrett and Olivia Kathryn (Livi) Cantu. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Ronnie Brown and wife Betsy, and a special cousin, Camille Marchbank.
We express our sincere gratitude to the caregivers who were so faithful to Mama in her last years, and to all of those who reached out with kind words and prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a favorite charity of choice.
