Kathryn Jean “Kathy” Post, age 83, of Washington, WV passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born October 9, 1941 in El Paso, TX, a daughter of the late Boyd Pierce Carper and Ida Ruth Shore Carper. Kathy was a graduate of St Albans High School and went to college and graduated from Parkersburg. She was retired with over 40 years of service from her nursing career, where she was a nurse to Dr. Auvil. Kathy was a caregiver and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hart (Debbie) and their children, Addy and Morgan of Evans, GA, Daniel Hart that passed away 8/20/2024, and his daughter Nichole of Las Vegas, NV, Bryan Post (Susan) and their daughter, Chloe of Parkersburg, Stacy Haverty (Leroy) and sons, Sean Haverty that passed away 12/3/2024 and Kaiden Haverty of Little Hocking, OH and Lisa Dove (Terry); two brothers, Harry Gilbert and John “Jack” Carper (Charlotte); Emmett’s husband-in-law and Michael and Daniel’s father, Harold “Bud” Hart (Donna) of Washington, WV; great-grandchildren, Mason Reams, Kieran Daniel, Coen Daniel and Nolan Bodenhoff; special nephew, Franklin Carper; several nieces and nephews and special pets, Bogey and Darla.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett R. Post; son, Daniel Hart; grandson, Sean Haverty and two sisters, Fredele Gilbert and Carol Carper.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg is honored to serve the Post family.
