Kathryn “Katie” Anne Robinson, age 45 of Cherokee, IA, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, IA. Pastor Mark Leeds will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held with family present from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, IA. Kathryn “Katie” Anne Robinson, daughter of Edward and Linda (Miller) Richards, was born on November 15, 1978, in Mishawaka, Indiana. She spent her childhood years in Indiana and then attended Iowa Schools. After high school, Katie worked at Walmart. She spent over 20 years assisting people at Walmart.
On June 25, 2023, Katie was united in marriage to Herman Robinson in Storm Lake, IA and they resided in Cherokee, IA. Katie enjoyed fishing, baking, cooking and listening to music. She loved styling the girls’ hair and shopping for clothes. Most of all, Katie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
On October 29, 2024, Katie passed away at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Richards; daughter, McKenzie Lynn; and grandparents, David and Kathryn Miller.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Herman Robinson of Cherokee, IA; mother, Linda Richards of Cherokee, IA; daughters, Kendra and Kiera of Cherokee, IA; stepchildren, Alyra Robinson, Kaley Robinson, Dominic Robinson, and Tristan Robinson of Indiana; one step-granddaughter, Kaila-Le Valdez brother, Mike (Hilda) Richards of Indiana; sister, Deb (Dana) Carlson of Cherokee, IA; and a bonus daughter, Elena Villa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
